Aka. "Destination Anywhere", "The Boy and Girl from County Bavaria"... After a very intense year in Würzburg (Germany), I'm back in Salamanca. I probably won't have that many experiences to write, but there's always an excuse to post a new entry!

Sorry for this, but I really need to campaign. Thanks to Jim Cueva's blog, which I've been following for a few months, I've found out that the elections for the Queen of Metal have begun. The winner will be interviewed and there'll be a special edition of the Rock and Metal World magazine dedicated to her, so I need you all to vote! Pleeeaaaaaase! :)

I know many of you don't like that kind of music and probably don't even know half the candidates... But if you really like me and would like to do something nice for your dear friend Kate/Marta (let me use a little bit of shameless emotional blackmail :P), please do vote. If you are into metal, then I guess you'll have your own favourites, but if you're not... well, let me offer you some suggestions :D

Probably, if there's someone who deserves the title, that'd be Tarja Turunen. Many of you might know her as Nightwish's former singer (and those of you who know me well, will know that I'm a bit obsessed with the topic ;)), but now this Finnish soprano has started a solo career.

Right now, the kind of music she makes is not exactly metal, but that doesn't change anything about the fact that she's quite a pioneer in the genre. Not to mention that she has an amazing voice, so it's no wonder she is leading the list at the moment. If you still don't know her, here's a little sample of her talent.

Another one of my girls I'd love to see winning is beautiful, charming Charlotte Wessels. At the moment, she's on the 6th position, which is a very positive surprise.

I didn't know Delain were so popular, so I think that's quite an achievement for such a young artist - she's the same age as me. And yet she's already a charismatic frontwoman with her very own style... Apart from her soft voice, I think one of the things I like best about her is her infectious smile on stage.

But of course, as it was to be expected, my vote went to the singer of the 1000 dresses, the lady with the voice of an angel, the one who would laugh at her own shadow, the jewel of the Dutch crown... Sharon den Adel!!!

What can I say about her? Probably some people will kill me if I mention her again in a conversation because my adoration for her can go to ridiculous extremes. I just love her. So if you don't give a shite about metal but like me enough to do me a little favour, PLEASE VOTE FOR HER!!! She's 4th right now and she deserves to win!
